Before booking our services, we would like to have a brief view of how our WEEE recycling works.

The sequence of Our Processes

We believe in organised procedures and operations the sequence of which goes as follows.

  • Collection
  • Auditing
  • Data Destruction and Shredding
  • Reporting

Collection

This is a preliminary step initiated by the customers. Once a potential client has decided to avail of our secure computer disposal services, he/she needs to contact us or fill up our form on our website.
Regardless of the size and number of the equipment, we provide you with our doorstep collection service at your decided time and location.
We collect old computers for free, if the quantity reaches, or exceeds the number twenty. For this, we have a strong logistics system. Our GPS-tracked vehicles with customised caging and packing are designed to transport your devices safely to the destruction site.

Auditing

We carry out auditing to keep a systematic record of each piece of equipment. For this, a bespoke software programme is used that automatically generates a detailed audit report of every piece of IT equipment that reaches our vicinity.
The purpose of auditing is to maintain the transparency of our procedures as it helps customers to decide further about their redundant equipment.
The auditing report carries the following information.

  • Type of items
  • Asset tags details
  • Model and serial number of the equipment
  • Manufacturer
  • Barcode detail
  • Age of the equipment and its condition.

Data Wiping and Shredding

For companies/clients with high data security concerns, we provide industry-standard wiping and shredding services for their sensitive IT equipment. We provide our clients with multiple data wiping and shredding options — depending upon the requirement.
Our approved and heavy-duty shredders break the data-bearing devices into irrecoverable tiny pieces. Our experts also use testified data removal software to erase data from the devices which are required to be reused for some other purposes.
We also invite customers to view our data destruction/wiping processes. As proof of our work, we also provide a certificate of destruction to our customers, once the data is destroyed completely.
IT Waste London can shred the following data-bearing devices;

  • Hard drives
  • Backup tapes
  • USBs
  • Microdrives
  • Digital camera memory
  • And various others.

Reporting

We report to our customers about all the operations carried out on their devices with the following details;

  • A detailed audit report
  • A certificate-of-destruction
  • Status and details of all recycled IT equipment
  • This is how our circle of UK computer recycling runs.
